SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER – INTENSE INTERVENTIONS - CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Clinton, IN)

SUMMARY: To provide special education services for students with learning
impairments consistent with the requirements of federal and state statute and
regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
1. PARTICIPATION IN RTI/SAT PROCESS: Participates in school general education
initiative / response to intervention process.    
2. REPORT WRITING:  Completes required documentation, paperwork, and reports in a
thorough and timely manner.  Prepares written reports of evaluations within time
guidelines as mandated by Article 7.  Interprets relevant functional academic and
behavioral assessment data that are user-friendly, intervention and results oriented.
3. TEACHER OF RECORD:  Serves as teacher of record for assigned students and
implements specified duties of that role.
4. CASE CONFERENCES:  Coordinates and participates in case conferences to determine
the eligibility, service delivery planning, and re-evaluation for students who require
special education programs and services.  
5. ELIGIBILITY:  Ensures that all legal and procedural details have been followed when
considering eligibility for special education programs.
6. GOAL WRITING:  Creates written drafts of appropriate, measurable goals.
7. CONSULTATION:  Consults and collaborates with educators, parents, students,
administrators and other professionals or agencies to improve student outcomes.
8. PROGRESS MONITORING:  Provides support, instruction, and technical assistance to
educators and administration for ongoing monitoring of progress.  Evaluates
effectiveness of preschool programs.
9. SERVICE DELIVERY DEVELOPMENT:  Uses data outcomes from evaluations and
progress monitoring to implement evidence-based plans at an individual, group, or
systems level.
10. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:  Participates in regular and on-going professional
development activities to maintain a high standard of service delivery.
11. PLANNING:  Help plan for the transition of their students to productive lives after the
completion of their secondary education.
12. ETHICS: Reports any and all violations of rules and regulations to administration.
13. CARE: Position may require tube feedings or rest rooming students.

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST OPENING

Covered Bridge Special Education District (CBSED) is currently accepting applications for a licensed school psychologist or school psychology interns for the 2022-23 school year. CBSED serves students in two school corporations and is located in Terre Haute, Indiana. We are seeking applicants who are knowledgeable and committed to a service delivery model that includes: consultation, collaboration, assessment, and intervention. CBSED has a strong and supportive psychological team.
